The Elusive God

I am writing this as a Hindu with experience and knowledge only in the Hindu way of seeing God.

God, as introduced to me, is this invisible vigilante who watches your every move, who grants your wishes and keeps you safe as long as you behave. His allure is in His elusiveness but He rushes to the aid of devotees in some form or the other.

The problem with this description is that we are trying to enlist and limit the God persona by typifying Him either as an idol or as a list of attributed characteristics as sung in hymns. We only attribute to God what we humans perceive as good. Our perception is strictly limited (time-bound and controlled by senses) isn't it?

It occurs to me that we are all God and I am not talking about just humans. All of creation is God but not when they are independent but when they act as one, conspire as one to achieve balance and harmony.

This harmony is God. Aspiring to happiness will make you accept sorrow at some point but the truth lies in harmony. Aspire to harmony and that's when you reach God.

Karmic Cycle applies only when your actions are aimed to satisfy your ends alone. When you start acting to reach the Harmony you break the Karmic Cycle.

  2. Everyone in this world have the general habit of worshipping GOD only if something has to happen or something has to be done. But this is not the right way to approach GOD. We have to put in our maximum efforts to solve whatever we face and worship god only to give hand and strength to us in accomplishing our tasks. If happiness knocks our door we dont even have single minute time to think of god rite??? But if sorrow knocks our door every human being's general habit is to worship GOD immediately. I strongly feel this feeling inside every human has to be changed. With which pleasure we accept happiness is what we have to accept sorrow also.Everyone will not have happiness and sorrow all through their life time but the thing is they have to accept what they receive whole heartedly. If this habit is being brought in you you will be good all through your life. --- According to my view point---
